Saying goodbye to 2018 is bitter sweet.
Our family has been through so many trials, triumphs, and transitions this year.
It’s been a year of radical obedience.
My husband and I felt called to move our lives to Oklahoma. We didn’t fully understand but we obeyed. I delivered our son 8 weeks premature and he spent 45 days in the NICU. My husband relocated to his new career 5 hours away from us during the most chaotic months of our lives. We sold a home in Texas and we purchased our home in OKC. We’ve planted roots here in Oklahoma and our family is flourishing. Hallelujah!!
Our faith was tested but through it all one thing remained constant: GOD. He remained faithful even when I wavered. This year I didn’t learn that I can do hard things. No, no. Friend, I learned that God works in the hard things. I learned that there is beauty in uncertainty because when I’m faced with the unknown I’m reminded who is truly in control. This year I’ve learned obedience does not require understanding. Sometimes all you have is faith and that’s enough.
I launched Speer & Arrows June 2018! I put down my shears despite the fact I’ve been doing hair and makeup for over a decade. I can’t lie! I was afraid. I didn’t want to tell my testimony and share my story. You see, until recently I wasn’t willing to be open and honest about who I am and I’ve been scared to let anyone see me. Not in the surface way but in the bare it all for His Glory kind of way. I’m unqualified to write and speak truth but by His Grace I’m doing it!!
I’m beyond excited to announce I’ll be guest writing
for THREE incredible ministries in 2019!
